WILLIAM TYLER POSTER

Copies of my poster for William Tyler's sold-out show last week at the Belcourt Theatre are now available in my online shop. This one's an 18x24" screenprint made at Kangaroo Press, one color on 100lb Orange Fizz French Paper, in a signed and numbered edition of 80.

My Levon print also back in stock!

Grab either at samsmyth.wazala.com.

IMPOSSIBLE TRUTH

This year I've been honored to create album artwork for some of my best friends and favorite artists. At the top of this list would be my good friend and former bandmate William Tyler, whose Impossible Truth LP will be released by Merge Records on March 19th. I'm very proud to share this album cover I designed for William. Look for more packaging shots here soon.

SEBASTIAN HOOTS

Now available in my store is a new screenprinted gig poster I made for my friend William Tyler and his label Sebastian Speaks as well as a text-free art print version. The 18x20" gig poster is a 2-color print in an edition of 40, some of which will be available at the show and a small number of which you can get in my store; the 16x20" "Owl Spirit" art print is an edition of 20. Nashvillians should be sure to catch what promises to be a fantastic show at an interesting venue, featuring a rare performance from KORT as well as William's own Tyler Family Band. Here are a couple of detail shots from our night of printing at Boss Construction:

WILLIAM TYLER - BEHOLD THE SPIRIT

Coming November 23rd on LP and CD from Tompkins Square: William Tyler's Behold the Spirit. The above album cover photography is by Mike Vallera, and I had the honor of doing the overall layout and design for my dear friend William. This is his first record released under his own name (his last full-length was released as The Paper Hats) and as you would expect from any musical endeavor by Mr. Tyler (Lambchop, The Silver Jews, Kort) it is an essential title for your music library. Beautiful instrumental, guitar-centric compositions that you can hear for yourself for a limited time courtesy of NPR at this link. I'm so happy to be even marginally involved in the release of this wonderful record, a perfect soundtrack for the changing of the seasons and the coming winter. Check it out and support your local indie record store by picking up a copy. Enjoy!
